Course Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Development Studies is uniquely designed as a comprehensive and interdisciplinary programme to enhance development administration and practice in the 22nd century in line with current and future National and International Development goals. It is rooted in the twin socio-economic pillar and good governance pillar of development as strategic, developmental theoretical framework, life skills which are critical in empowering individual student’s to play a leading role in the development process of society. It also captures policy issues in development, action plans to spur development in Africa, unethical practices that impact negatively on the development of society. The programme in addition encompasses all useful concepts and principles of practical and strategic effective approaches to management of development resources and development projects.
It aims to produce highly motivated human resources who are guided by Christian values to work with governments at all levels of development and NGOS involved in development, humanitarian operation projects and self-help group work to sustain livelihoods.
